Prevention

DID YOU KNOW?

Platforms like Roblox, widely used by children, have been linked to cases where predators attempt to exploit in-game chat and social features.

Prevention starts with awareness.

Our core mission is built on education and equipping communities, schools, businesses, and families with the knowledge to recognize and prevent trafficking before it begins. Through training sessions and educational workshops, Fortify Alabama provides practical tools and real-world strategies to help individuals identify warning signs, understand risk factors, and respond appropriately.

We also work to break down common misconceptions about human trafficking—because the more people truly understand what it looks like today, the better they can protect themselves and others.

Fortify Alabama also hosts an annual Anti-Human Trafficking Conference, bringing together experts, law enforcement, and community members to share knowledge, best practices, and emerging trends. The conference offers CEU credits and serves as a powerful space to deepen understanding, strengthen collaboration, and equip our community to take meaningful action in prevention.

Intervention

DID YOU KNOW?

On average, it can take 5 to 7 attempts for someone to leave an exploitative situation—making consistent, compassionate outreach critical.

Outreach is a vital part of our work, focused on meeting individuals in high-risk environments such as local motels. Through our mobile boutique trailer, we are able to bring clothing, hygiene items, and essential resources directly to those we serve. Creating a welcoming, dignified space in places that often feel anything but.

This outreach is rooted in consistency, compassion, and trust. We show up without judgment, offering not only physical resources, but also prayer, encouragement, and a steady presence. These moments allow relationships to form over time, often becoming the first step toward something more.

In addition to outreach, Fortify Alabama also provides victim advocacy and support alongside law enforcement during operations. Our team helps ensure individuals are met with care, dignity, and access to resources in critical moments, offering a bridge between immediate intervention and long-term support.

Support

DID YOU KNOW?

For some individuals, the safety of a beloved pet can be a barrier to leaving an exploitative situation.

Our holistic approach to support addresses both the physical and emotional needs of those we serve by helping remove barriers and create pathways toward safety and stability.

One example of this is our animal assistance program. Through partnerships with trusted local rescue organizations, we help provide safe placement for pets when individuals are seeking to leave unsafe situations. This allows them to pursue help without the fear of what might happen to an animal they love.

By removing barriers like this, we’re able to support individuals more fully by meeting practical needs while also honoring the deep emotional connections that can impact their decisions.

We are working toward the development of a dedicated resource facility. A safe, welcoming space designed to support individuals on their journey out of exploitation.

This space will provide access to essential needs such as clothing, hygiene items, and job assistance, while also offering spiritual support and opportunities for deeper restoration. More than just a place to receive resources, it will be a place where individuals can pause, breathe, and begin to rebuild.

The facility will host Bible studies, support groups, and other restorative programs, creating space for healing, community, and growth.

Our vision is to create an environment where dignity is restored, trust is rebuilt, and individuals are empowered to take their next steps forward at their own pace.
